The animal is an Aardvark!

Its name beginning with two "A"s, the aardvark is commonly the first animal listed in dictionaries, ranking ahead of aardwolf. Its name is probably one of the most common Dutch words in the English vocabulary. Dutch? Dutch settlers known as Afrikaans colonized South Africa, where they dreamed up the name aardvark, meaning "earth pig." With no close living relatives, scientists placed the aardvark in its own family (Orycteropodidae), in turn the only family in the order Tubulidentata. Its scientific name is Orycteropus afer. The aardvark is sometimes called an "ant bear." However, that name seems to be perpetuated by dictionaries and word games more than popular usage.
